Common problems with battery use
Q1: Do I need to charge the battery before using it?
A: Yes, you should fully charge the battery before using it for the first time.
Q2: How long will the battery hold the charge?
A: All the batteries will self-discharge when not in use. The self-discharging rate depends on the temperature at which they are stored. Storage temperatures that are too cold or too hot can drain the battery faster than normal. Ideally, the battery should be stored at room temperature.
Q3: Why not charge the battery at least every 90 days when not using it?
A: Over time, the battery will naturally release its charge. To optimize the battery and extend its life. It is recommended to charge at least every 90 days.
Q4:Will I get more performance from my bike if I leave the batteries to charge longer?
A: No,once the batteries are fully charged(as indicated by the light on the charger) it is best to unplug them from the charger. Leaving the batteries charging longer than necessary is called “overcharging” and will not increase performance.
